BAC Arts in Education performances inspire the imagination in audiences of all ages, share a range of cultures and traditions from around the world, explore a colorful spectrum of performing arts disciplines, and engage audience members in interactive learning experiences.
Many of our performances feature artists that share the history and traditions of their native countries or cultures through song, storytelling, and dance. Our professional artists regularly perform in auditoriums for large groups, as well in intimate settings for smaller audiences.
Performances are approximately 45 minutes and can be scheduled back-to-back in order to reach larger audiences.
All performances support the NYC Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts and Common Core State Standards, providing students with the opportunity to develop 21st century skills, and audience participation skills, such as listening, paying focused attention, analyzing what they see, watching for non-verbal cues, and asking relevant questions.
